Four tools that change a police shift

This dispatch from RCore is a full job dispatch made of four parts. Each solves a different problem a busy department has.

1. Too many calls: the alerts switchboard

• Every alert lists its code, type and category, and the units already attending.
• Vehicle theft alerts include a road image of the scene.
• An alert can be assigned quickly to a unit or to a radio frequency.
• Officers mark themselves as attending, so colleagues know who has the call.

2. Nobody knows where anyone is: the map panel

• A real time map shows alerts and officers as they move.
• Each alert opens to detailed information.
• You create units and assign colleagues to them to keep the squad organised.
• Officers can change how their own map blip behaves.
• A stats page with heat maps lets command study how criminals in your city operate.

3. One crowded radio: the radio system

• Each unit has a private radio. There is also a global radio and TAC channels.
• You can broadcast to everyone in your job, or to specific frequencies, without changing your own.
• Joining a TAC channel stops the global radio for you, for operations that need quiet.
• It works with pma-voice and requires the pma-voice build from the RCore GitHub.

4. Plans explained by shouting: the draw system

• Paint a strategy on the map with a full toolset. The drawing appears on the GTA map in game.
• Save draws to use again.
• Create custom draws for each unit.
