Less than lethal, more than words

Police on many servers have two options when a suspect will not comply: keep talking or draw a weapon. Pepper spray fills the gap. This script from Gamzky Scripts adds it as a real addon weapon, weapon_pepperspray, that an officer equips and fires like any other.

How a hit works

The script detects when the spray reaches another player and applies an effect that temporarily paralyses them. You configure:

• the effect itself
• the total effect time
• the maximum range
• the angle relative to the target

Those last two decide exactly when a spray counts as a hit.

Kept in police hands

The script is standalone and needs no other resource. On ESX and QBCore a built in job check means only police can apply the effect, which stops the weapon being used to grief.

Masks and riot gear

With skinchanger you can mark clothing pieces that make the wearer immune, such as a gas mask. The immunity function is accessible, so other skin resources can be connected as well.

• Idle: 0.00 ms
• Peak, while an effect is active: 0.03 ms

Good to know before you buy

• Escrow. The normal version is encrypted. The key functions stay reachable through bridge code, so you can connect the effect and the immunity logic to your own resources.
• Known limitation. CodeM-Inventory does not work properly with the pepper spray, and the creator cannot offer support for that combination.

Completes a police kit

The same creator lists ballistic and riot shields and a deployable roof light on the marketplace. Together with the spray they cover crowd control, cover and unmarked work.
