Who needs one

• Undercover police. A detective in a plain car needs a light when the stop begins and no light before it.
• Paramedics. A medic in a personal vehicle can be seen on the way to a call.
• Road workers. An orange light marks a tow or a repair crew at the roadside.

This script from Gamzky Scripts lets any of them place an emergency light on the roof on the spot.

It works on vehicles you have not configured

The usual problem with roof lights is setting a position for every model on the server. Here a default configuration finds a suitable place on any vehicle with a roof. You only step in for special cases, such as vehicles with no roof, which can be given a manual position. Vehicles can also be blacklisted.

Using it

• Deploy. Use the item or the command while driving.
• Siren. Press L-SHIFT while the light is deployed. The key is configurable and the siren can be disabled.
• Remove. Use the command or L-CTRL. Both are configurable.

Colors and modes

• The color can be set per vehicle: blue, red or orange.
• You can also hand out one item per color, and the light matches the item used.
• The light can blink or rotate.
• Custom sirens are supported.

Configuration

Light properties, animations, vehicle configurations and sirens are all adjustable. A specific vehicle can have its own placing animation, color, position and siren.

Dependencies

None. The script runs standalone. An inventory (esx, qb, ox or another) is needed only if you want the light to be an item. The light props are included and are not encrypted.

Performance

Lights are fully synchronized between players, and only nearby ones are rendered.
