Shops that depend on each other

In most business scripts every shop is an island. It buys from nowhere and sells to whoever walks in. In this resource by Pickle Mods, businesses trade with one another. A fully integrated player economy is the point of it.

Starting a business

  • Businesses can be owned or rented, and they are created entirely in game. An admin does not have to edit the config.
  • A business can be a fixed store or a placeable market, for a player who wants to run a vending business without committing to one spot.
  • Both kinds of location are persistent.

Running it

  • Staff. Build your own ranks and permissions inside each business.
  • Furniture. Admins and owners can place it inside the business.
  • Storage. For items and parts.
  • Crafting. The items available depend on the zone the business is in.
  • Sales data. The management menu shows daily and recent sales.

Trading

Owners, or staff roles they trust, post trade listings for the business. Other businesses buy from those listings. This is how a farm supplies a restaurant or a workshop supplies a dealer.

Rules set by zone

Zone types are defined in the config. They decide what a business can craft and what it can buy from supply stores. Each zone type has its own Supplies Store stock, with restrictions where you want them. Dirty money can be accepted as payment in zones that allow it.

Used and unique items

Items are sold with their metadata. That allows unique and used goods, and it closes the repair glitch found in other business scripts.

Metadata support

  • ox_inventory
  • Quasar Inventory
  • Any inventory using QBCore's inventory functions, such as lj-inventory and qb-inventory

Requirements

  • ESX (1.1+), QBox or QB. The bridge is fully accessible for custom frameworks.
  • ox_lib

Installation

  1. Install the SQL and items from the INSTALL folder.
  2. Add ensure pickle_businesses.
  3. Choose a target option in the config if you use a target resource.
  4. Restart the server.
